PREMIERE: Boy & Bear Unveil ‘Bridges’ Music Video

Sydney’s favourite indie five-piece, Boy & Bear, have unveiled their music video for Bridges, the latest cut from their critically lauded, J Award-nominated, number one sophomore album, Harlequin Dream, to receive a clip, and this one’s their most characteristically idiosyncratic venture yet.

The video for Bridges was shot in Melbourne by local visual collective OH YEAH WOW, who’ve created some stunning videos for the likes of Gotye and Aloe Blacc, as well as last year’s incredible collaborative video for The Paper Kites, and a J Award-winning clip for Clubfeet.

The Bridges clip sees the band members — Dave Hosking, Killian Gavin, Tim Hart, Jon Hart, Dave Symes — occupying the ramshackle lodgings of a miniature house. Everything you see in the vid, from the mini-furniture, to the mini-piano, was painstakingly hand-crafted by OH YEAH WOW.

Music Feeds caught up with bass player Symes back in January to chat about the recording of Harlequin Dream, the band’s upcoming rural tour of Australia, their forthcoming return to Europe and North America, the “Triple J sound,” and how their fans encourage the band to “be ourselves.”
