Irish troubadour James Vincent McMorrow‘s affinity with Australia continues, following his recent Falls and Southbound stopover, with the falsetto-wielding musician announcing a return visit in May, alongside a special performance at the Sydney Opera House for this year’s Vivid LIVE.
After wrapping up his current US tour, which includes a string of sold out shows and a spot on Coachella in April, McMorrow will hit Australian shores once again, to present the immersive light-inspired companion performance to his critically acclaimed record, 2013’s symphonic folk-electronic masterpiece Post Tropical.
On top of his shows at the Sydney Opera House, McMorrow will also play Perth’s Astor Theatre, Melbourne’s Forum Theatre and for the fist time since touring his debut album Early In The Morning in 2012, he will be visiting Brisbane, playing at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre.
The shows go on sale Friday, March 28, from 10am with Secret Sounds calling first dibs on tickets and announcing an exclusive pre-sale this Wednesday, March 26 from 10am.
