Cheney, Rogers, Pyke & Jamieson Re-Unite For ‘White Album’ Tour

Following the success of their sold-out live rock phenomenon of 2009, Tim Rogers, Josh Pyke, Chris Cheney and Phil Jamieson are reuniting once again for another series of shows performing one of The Beatles‘ most groundbreaking records, their 1968 self-titled double album, commonly referred to as The White Album.

In the winter of 2009, to celebrate the The White Album‘s 40th anniversary, four of the country’s greatest rock’n’roll showmen left a trail of standing ovations and ecstatic reviews when The White Album concert sold out 11 theatres in five cities across Australia.

Coming after The Beatles’ mind-altering trip to India, but before their split, The White Album bursts with variety, creativity, experimentation, and the genius of the four-piece during one of their most intensely creative periods.

Its 30 songs veer from the populist stomp of Back In The USSR and the mind-bending Happiness Is A Warm Gun to the melodious sorrow of While My Guitar Gently Weeps, the ska pop fun of Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, and the hard rock prototype Helter Skelter.

Now, five years on from their initial tribute, You Am I frontman Tim Rogers, The Living End‘s Chris Cheney, singer-songwriter Josh Pyke and Grinspoon‘s Phil Jamieson will come together once more for a repeat series of the shows this July.

Accompanied by a 17-piece orchestra, the four artists will re-create The Beatles classic at shows in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth. Tickets go on sale Monday, 7th April.
