Remi – Raw x Infinity

Following a breakout 2013, which culminated in being awarded the coveted title of Triple J’s Unearthed Artist of the Year, 22-year-old Melbourne lyricist Remi Kolawole has hit the ground running in 2014, announcing the release of his second album, Raw x Infinity, on Friday, 6th June.

While Remi is something of a newcomer to the game, he took no time in converting a legion of rabid fans, whose interests were piqued by his effortless rhyming style, were hooked by his half-rap half-sing flows, and became immersed in his ability to blend pop-culture reality with cerebral fantasy.

The Murlocs – Loopholes

“This album has been haunting me ever since we began recording it. Having lost three quarters of the initial recordings due to a stolen laptop it has been a huge effort to get these songs to see the light of day,” said Murlocs vocalist Ambrose Kenny-Smith of the band’s long awaited debut album.

With all the setbacks now just bad memories, Victorian outfit The Murlocs are ready to unveil the culmination of three years worth of crafting soulful, distorted R&B, which they’ve dubbed Loopholes. The debut LP will be available from Thursday, 17th April via Flightless/Remote Control.

Dave Graney – Fearful Wiggings

Keeping such illustrious company as Tex Perkins and Nick Cave, Dave Graney is Aussie rock and roll’s proverbial silent but dangerous man in the corner. A storyteller, songwriter, and singer, his decades-spanning career has seen him slink through endless streams of bands, clubs, and songs.

This “cryptic rock voyager” will unveil his latest collection of new material on Friday, 2nd May, which he’s decided to brand Fearful Wiggings. The album has already yielded the single Everything Was Legendary With Robert, Graney’s idiosyncratic take on the art pop formula (listen below).
