The Rolling Stones Confirm Rescheduled Australian Tour Dates For October/November

Following a statement released last month by Frontier Touring, the promoter of the postponed Australian leg of The Rolling Stones14 On Fire world tour, the iconic British outfit has taken to their official website to confirm that their Australia/New Zealand tour will resume late this October.

In a missive titled ‘Australia/New Zealand Update,’ the band write, “The rescheduled Australia / New Zealand tour will take place between 25 October to 22 November 2014. The Rolling Stones wish to thank their fans in Australia and New Zealand for their patience and understanding at this time.”

The rescheduled shows, which includes performances set for Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Hanging Rock, Brisbane, and Auckland, New Zealand, also includes the cancelled 19th March Perth Arena show, which was to be the opening night of the band’s highly anticipated Australian return.

“At this very sad time we would like to reassure Rolling Stones fans and ticket holders that every effort is currently being made to reschedule the postponed Australia and New Zealand dates for October/November 2014,” wrote Frontier Touring in a statement posted to Facebook last month.

There are currently no specifics. Frontier Touring has assured ticket-holders, some of whom paid for flights and accommodation to see the legendary British group, that they will be able to secure a refund if the rescheduled tour dates do not suit. Stay tuned to Music Feeds for more details.
