‘Game of Thrones’ Theme Gets A Smooth Jazz Cover

In anticipation for the premiere of Game Of Thrones season four, which is happening right this second, American musician, composer and viral video maker Scott Bradlee and his Postmodern Jukebox have released a cover version of the HBO series’ theme song, colouring it with a distinctively smooth, jazz tinge.

Bradlee and the Postmodern Jukebox have become an internet sensation, known for putting their trademark stamp on an array of pop records and giving a throwback, nostalgic makeover to tunes by varied artists including Psy, Beyonce and even Guns ‘N’ Roses.

Other notable covers include a 50’s Doo Wop version of Miley CyrusWe Can’t Stop, and a rendition of Lorde’s Royals by a seven-foot-tall sad clown. On this track, Scott Bradlee and the Postmodern Jukebox teamed up with Grammy-nominated saxophone player Dave Koz to inject the iconic GoT theme with a little bit of extra class.
