Toxic Holocaust And Skeletonwitch Postpone April Tour

American thrash metal troops Toxic Holocaust and Skeletonwitch have announced the postponement of their planned April 2014 tour, citing “a serious and prolonged ear infection” suffered by Toxic Holocaust founder and frontman Joel Grind that may require surgery.

“Joel is unwell and recommended by his Doctor not to fly till his condition is taken care of. We are truly sorry, but this is something that’s out of hands. Toxic Holocaust will be rescheduling their tour for November with another US band, whilst Skeletonwitch will now be doing their own headline tour sometime later when time permits in their busy schedule,” reads an official statement by the bands.

“We are all saddened… but Joel’s well-being must be given priority,” writes tour promoter Heathen Skulls. “Joel is extremely disappointed that he must pull out… but hopes fans will understand that by treating this condition now it will ensure he can continue performing for years to come.”

Heathen have indicated that the dates will likely be rescheduled for late this year. Toxic Holocaust have stated that they “will be rescheduling their tour for November with another US band,” while Skeletonwitch have said that they are working on coming back for a headlining tour “sometime later when time permits in their busy schedule.” Refunds will be available from Wednesday, 9th April.
