As I Lay Dying Members Announce New Project Wovenwar

As I Lay Dying members Jordan Mancino, Nick Hipa, Phil Sgrosso, and Josh Gilbert have teamed up with former Oh, Sleeper vocalist Shane Blay for a new project dubbed Wovenwar. The news comes after members began sharing clips of new music via social media earlier this month.

Members took to their personal Instagram accounts to post new music teasers and to reveal a new logo, which had many fans speculating that members of the American metalcore outfit had begun a new project in the wake of singer Tim Lambesis‘ guilty plea to murder-for-hire charges.

Soon after, a mysterious statement appeared on the official As I Lay Dying website, confirming the existence of a new project featuring the members of As I Lay Dying sans Lambesis. It was later alleged that the statement did not come from a member of Wovenwar, but from Lambesis himself.

Now as Blabbermouth reports, over approximately the last year, the band have been completing new material recorded with Descendants and Black Flag producer Bill Stevenson, with mixing duties helmed by Colin Richardson, best known for his work with Slipknot and Machine Head.

Fans will finally hear the band’s debut single, All Rise, in its entirety on Monday, 21st April. Though this will not be the final mastered version, the song will give fans a taste of what they can expect when Wovenwar, previously thought to be called Worshipper, unveil a debut LP later this year.
