Brighton duo Royal Blood have announced they will be bringing their unique sonic cocktail to Sydney and Melbourne this year for two special headline shows in May and June. The modern garage rockers are currently working on their much-anticipated debut album.
Since emerging from the UK at the start of 2012, Mike Kerr (bass) and Ben Thatcher (drums) have drawn attention from both sides of the Equator with their singles Out of the Black and their latest Little Monster, both of which appear on the band’s debut EP, Out of the Black, out now via Warner Music.
Already name-checked on the BBC’s Sound of 2014, Royal Blood have seen their inventive, genre-smashing sound win over fans, critics and plenty of other artists, culminating in recent tour invites from Arctic Monkeys and Foals.
With their debut album in the works, this could be your last chance to catch Royal Blood in venues of this intimate size. General public on sale from 10am local time, Thursday 24 April.
