BRITPOP – Live Music Photo Exhibition – Saturday 7th November

We’re more than a little bit excited about the Britpop we’re bringing you on SATURDAY 7th NOVEMBER. So exciting that we might even let out a little bit of wee.

Upstairs (until 10pm): We are delighted to be presenting our first LIVE MUSIC PHOTO EXHIBITION. Featuring stunning photographs of British bands as shot through the lenses of 3 of Sydney’s best live music photographers: Messrs DANIEL BOUD, GRAHAM DENHOLM and MARK METCALFE.

Downstairs (until 4am): THE best indie DJs around town spinning the best in new and classic British indie. Doing it major with the bad behaviour this month are NICK FINDLAY, MUSH, FAUX NUN, EL MARIACHI and JONNY M. With that kind of DJ line-up, you KNOW this party is gonna go chicken oriental!

Expect to SEE/HEAR: Franz Ferdinand, Radiohead, Oasis, Jarvis Cocker, Doves, Fuck Buttons, The Arctic Monkeys, Ian Brown etc.

But wait, there’s more. November 7th marks the 40th Anniversary (to the day!) of the release of David Bowie’s “Space Oddity”. We’ll be giving away CDs of this seminal album courtesy of the spiffing folk at EMI. Not only that, but JOHNNY DARKO will be spinning an hour of non-stop DAVID BOWIE between 8pm and 9pm.

How awesome is that? (Hint: waaaay awesome).

Get there early for Happy Hour: $10 jugs of Coopers and $3 Champagnes.

Doors 7pm. $10 ENTRY ($5 with student ID) and FREE ENTRY before 8pm.
