Lily Allen Splendour Sideshows Announced

In the country to headline Splendour In The Grass, the always a little controversial popstar Lily Allen will be treating Melbourne’s Festival Hall and Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion to accompanying sideshows this July.

Four years since her last sojourn in the country, playing on the main stage of the Big Day Out Festival in 2010, Allen this time will be touting her new record Sheezus on what will be her biggest Australian headline shows to date.

True to form, the album has already picked up its fair share of controversy, including accusations of plagiarism, cheating her way to number one chart status and even racism. In a recent interview, Allen denied those charges.

“My whole make-up is about bringing inequality and injustice to the forefront, so when people said I was racist I was like, ‘Noooo, that’s not me’, I thought, ‘Oh my God, is it worth it?’ But of course it is,” said the singer.

General public tickets to Lily Allen’s headlining shows go on sale from 9am local time, Monday 26th May. Frontier Members pre-sale will be available from 2pm Wednesday, 21st May to 2pm Thursday, 22nd May.
