Watch This Family Of Otters Play A Keyboard

Mastering an instrument is a feat that not all of us are mentally, physically, or indeed genetically capable of, so particular concessions must be applied when one is dealing with a bevy of Asian small-clawed otters, like one that was recently given an old Casio at the Smithsonian National Zoo.

Part of the Zoo’s ‘enrichment program’, which we suspect is just a rouse to get adorable animals to do adorable things, the Zoo write on their official website that they like to provide “stimulating environments for Zoo animals in order for them to demonstrate their species-typical behaviour.”

We certainly weren’t aware that playing an ex-Cash Converters Casio keyboard was “species-typical behaviour” for otters, but now that we do, we couldn’t be more delighted. And we’re not the only ones, the clip, uploaded by the zoo, has received over 165,000 views in less than 24 hours.
