Listen To The Preatures New Song ‘Two Tone Melody’

The Preatures are showing off their softer, soulful side on new single, Two Tone Melody, unveiled yesterday on triple j, along with the announcement that the Sydney five piece will be making their way across the country for a national tour this July.

Lead vocalist Isabella Manfredi told triple j, the song was last track laid down for their forthcoming album, slated for release later this year, and was recorded entirely to tape with Jim Eno of Texan rockers Spoon while the band was in the US recently.

“I think this track is a good introduction to the record – it’s not upbeat, it’s not a heavy hitting song but it’s really beautiful,” said Manfredi. “I only wanna make beautiful music so I hope that other people think it’s beautiful too.”

Speaking to Music Feeds in a soon-to-be-published interview, guitarist Jack Moffitt said the new single means a lot to him as well. “It’s definitely one of the most satisfied feelings I’ve had about something we’ve done for a while,” he said. “This song’s really special to me and it’s one of the songs that Izzy’s written that I love the most out of all of the songs that she’s written.”

Yesterday, The Preatures announced a national July tour while they’re back home to play Splendour In The Grass 2014. Kicking off in Melbourne on Saturday, 12th July, they’ll then hit up stages in Sydney, Adelaide and Perth before heading back overseas to play Bonnaroo and and a coveted slot on this year’s Glastonbury festival.
