A previously unreleased Led Zeppelin instrumental entitled La La, recorded by the band in late 1969, has surfaced online, ahead of the release of the band’s forthcoming remasters and reissues series.
The near four minute organ-led track, recorded during the session for the original Led Zeppelin II, remains unfinished and appears as a rough mix on the upcoming reissue. It features guitarist Jimmy Page‘s acoustic strumming and bluesy riffs, while Robert Plant‘s vocals are missing throughout, bar a muffled “yeah” in the background towards the end.
The track will appear on the deluxe edition of Led Zeppelin II, due out early June along with a deluxe reissue of Led Zeppelin and Led Zeppelin III. Each deluxe edition contains a full bonus disc of previously unreleased Zeppelin recordings.
Rolling Stone reports, Led Zeppelin II will also include alternate mixes of five songs on the album and two instrumental versions of song. Led Zeppelin III boasts seven studio outtakes, instrumental work-in-progress versions of Bron-Y-Aur Stomp and Out on the Tiles, plus a blues medley of Key to the Highway and Trouble in Mind.
