Husky Announce Comeback Tour, Paradoxical New Tune ‘I’m Not Coming Back’

Following the international success garnered from their debut record Forever So in 2011, Melbourne band Husky have announced their return to Australian stages, with the news of a capital city headline tour for July and a brand new single, I’m Not Coming Back, due for release on June 30th.

These headlining shows will be Husky’s first since 2012 and will see founding band members Husky Gawenda, Gideon Preiss and Evan Tweedie joined on-stage by drummer Arron Light. Husky will be gracing stages at some of the country’s most intimate venues, playing songs from their much loved debut Forever So as well as brand-new material.

An example of which is the new track, I’m Not Coming Back. Written by Gawenda in a small makeshift studio at the back of his house, the track was inspired by planes flying overhead at night through a star-lit sky. The tune promises to be a distinctly Husky song, just with ample energy. It will be released on June 30th.

Tickets for Husky’s tour are on sale now.
