Rock legend Suzi Quatro will return Down Under in January 2015 for her last ever Australian tour. Having toured the country 30 times, Suzi’s final tour will not only celebrate 50 years of performing, but will give Aussie fans their final chance to see a living rock and roll legend live on the stage.
“I have been touring Australia regularly since 1974, and have actually lost count of how many times I have been here, but I think this tour will be number 29,” said Suzi in a statement. “It is my second home and I love it dearly. This year I celebrated my 50th year in the business and it just felt like the right time to take my final bow. It’s a daunting prospect and one I am preparing seriously for.”
“I want this to be a night to remember in every way… tears, laughter and lots of rock and roll,” the legend continued. “This has been my life. Nobody in the world rocks as hard as the Aussies… and from me that’s what they’re gonna get… foot on the gas and go. So looking forward to this tour.”
Born in the rock and roll hub of Detroit, Michigan, Suzi Quatro now stands as the foremost lady of rock, having influenced everybody from The Runaways to The Donnas. Suzi’s live performances are as renowned for their musical professionalism as they for their sheer volume and raucousness.
General Public tickets for Suzi Quatro’s final Australian tour go on sale Thursday, 3rd July 2014, except the Cairns Convention Centre show, which hits sale Wednesday, 9th July 2014. The tour kicks off Wednesday, 28th January at the Regal Theatre in Perth. Check below for all details.
