Watch Jack White Give A Big ‘Fuck You’ To Electricity

Jack White just don’t give a fuck. When the Lazaretto rocker’s recent Glastonbury Festival warm-up show at Dublin’s Royal Hospital Kilmainham alongside fellow garage rock heroes The Kills hit a bit of a snag after the venue pulled the plug on his PA system, White responded by playing anyway.

White was in the middle of delivering an encore performance of the blues standard Goodnight, Irene when staff at the venue cut the power. “Okay, listen up – we gotta quiet down!” White shouted after noticing that his mic had dropped out, but without missing a beat, he kicked off a group sing-along.

The gig was also notable for White’s onstage collaborations with his Dead Weather bandmate and Kills singer Alison Mosshart, who joined the former White Stripe for a rendition of the Blunderbuss single Love Interruption. Meanwhile, the centrepiece of the encore was a scorching medley of The StoogesI Wanna Be Your Dog, the White Stripes’ Fell In Love With a Girl, and Beck‘s Where It’s At.
