Flume Reworks Chet Faker’s ‘Gold’

Without any prior warning Australian EDM golden boy Flume has dropped a rework of old mate Chet Faker‘s song Gold, a track which appeared on the Melbourne-based producer’s debut album Built On Glass.

The track is only presently available for purchase on iTunes for an easy $2.19 and the site’s short preview shows it’s probably worth each cent. Earlier this year the remix king put his touches to Lorde‘s Tennis Court, premiering the track during a set at MTV’s Artist To Watch show at The Highline Ballroom in New York before seamlessly dropping it into his Coachella set.

The Gold rework is of course not the first time Flume and Chet Faker have joined forces. The dynamic duo released their joint Lockjaw EP last year which included the breakout single Drop the Game. Earlier this year in a short Facebook post Flume said his much-anticipated second album is “very much underway”.

Expect at least one onstage team-up when they both hit Listen Out 2014 this year (Psst – you can win tickets to that over here…)

Flume’s reworked Gold can be found over at iTunes right now.
