From sky diving into Splendour In The Grass last weekend to crisscrossing the country over the next few months on a huge regional tour, Melbourne’s Illy is definitely not one to slow down, announcing today a national One For The Cities tour, where he’ll hit up stages in capital cities across Australia through November and December.
The capital cities tour will round out an epic twelve months for Illy which saw his fourth studio album Cinematic debut at number 4 on the ARIA album chart. While he’s previously played some extensive regional tours, Illy is now making sure punters in the big cities don’t miss their chance to see the Melbourne rapper do what he does best.
The One For The Cities tour will kick off in Darwin this November, before moving through to Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Adelaide. Rising Adelaide emcee Tkay Maidza is heading on the road alongside Illy with more guests to be announced.
Illy says these shows will mark the biggest headline performances of his career and as a gesture to fans they’re keeping ticket prices as low as possible, at a reasonable $39.90, plus booking fee. An exclusive fan ticket pre-sale will be available from 9am, Tuesday 12th August, while general tickets go on sale 9am, Thursday 14th August. See details below.
