Antiskeptic Announce 2014 National Tour

Melbourne rock outfit Antiskeptic have returned from their six-year break by announcing the release of their third album Stare Down The Ocean on 19th September and in celebration the resilient rockers are heading out on the road.

Antiskeptic’s passionate fan base assisted in funding Stare Down The Ocean via Pozible crowdfunding campaigns which raised over $20,000. The band have been working with producer Forrester Savell (Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus) on the album.

The album’s lead single Hey Dissident, the recently released video for which pays homage to all the ’80s goodness of Back To The Future, precedes a much anticipated crowd funded clip for their follow up single, When The Night Comes In. This time round the boys will channel their inner zombies with a Walking Dead-inspired clip expected to drop this August.

Drummer Nick Coppin told Music Feeds that while putting together a crowd-funding campaign is a massive task, it’salso very rewarding to work so closely with fans. “Knowing that you have people believing in your project and backing it with their hard earned is such a good feeling,” he said. “It’s like creating an army of vocal supporters – These guys are investing in you and become part of the project and share the word, that they are part of it.”

Antiskeptic’s September/ October tour will kick off just days after the album’s official release and they’ll be joined for most dates by Brisbane outfit Young Lions. The tour will see the boys take on stages in Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne, stirring up crowds with their carefully crafted alt-rock jams.

Stay tuned for the full Music Feeds feature with Nick Coppin, up soon.
