After this morning’s Falls Festival 2014 lineup announcement, the official lineup for Southbound 2015 has now been announced, with big-name acts such as alt-J, Milky Chance, Jamie XX, SBTRKT and Glass Animals set to bring in the new year in style at the West Australian festival in Busselton this January.
Southbound 2015 will be UK indie outfit alt-J’s first time in the country since playing Splendour In The Grass 2013, before which they were revealed as the “mystery band”. The group are sure to have a slew of new tracks under their collective belt when they hit Aussie shores, as they move towards releasing their second studio album This Is All Yours on 19th September.
Southbound 2015 takes most of its lineup from sister festival Falls, with only Tensnake and Big Freedia exclusive to Falls Festival so far this year. The lineup also features Cold War Kids, Joey Bada$$, Todd Terje and home-grown Australian talent like Bluejuice, Jagwar Ma, The Temper Trap and Vance Joy.
Southbound 2015 is seeing a major camping shakeup this year, which will allow punters to camp right next to their cars, making the camping process that little bit easier for everyone.

UPDATE 02/09/14: Southbound Festival organisers have announced that Icelandic singer-songwriter Ásgeir will also be performing at Southbound 2015. They have also said that more local acts and the Coconut Club lineup will be announced in the coming months.
