Lanie Lane Returns With ‘Celeste’ And A New Album

Sydney singer-songwriter Lanie Lane has returned with a new single and news of a forthcoming second album. Lane’s latest track Celeste marks the first new material since her debut album To The Horses, which dropped in 2011.

The dreamy music video for Celeste (below) mirrors the song’s gentle vocal hooks and glistening guitars using footage from Lane’s recent trip to Peru. Recorded at Mangrove Studios, the track is the first cut to be taken from Lanie Lane’s next solo album, Night Shade, which is currently set for release on 24th October.

Celeste is ‘the one who knows’, the best self – always guiding from the unseen, in tune with the magic of everyday existence, unbound by limitations or self-doubt,” Lane says.

“We shot this video mostly in the Peruvian Andes. It features my dear friend Christina Fire-Mane and stop-motion nature sculptures made in the Victorian Goldfields by myself and Jennifer King.

“Over the last few years, these women have encouraged me to discover through expression, a connection to my Celeste through an unwavering dedication to their own.”

Fans who pre-order Night Shade on iTunes will immediately receive Celeste for free, as well as 2 other exclusives tracks when the album is released on 24th October. Fans who pre-order the album through JB Hi-Fi or Sanity will also receive the 2 bonus tracks, as well as a signed copy of the album.
