UPDATE 27/11/14: The second Soundwave 2015 lineup announcement has finally arrived — full details here.
Soundwave Festival promoter AJ Maddah has revealed that the “supplementary announcement” for Soundwave 2015 will arrive some time next month. After announcing the lineup for Soundwave 2015 yesterday, Maddah said that there were still “around 14 bands” left over for a second reveal.
The news comes via the promoter’s Twitter, where a fan asked him if there would be any more announcements, to which he replied, “Yes. Supplementary announcement some time next month.” Maddah had previously stated that yesterday’s roster comprised “most” of the final 2015 lineup.
Music Feeds have compiled a gallery of bands who might make Soundwave 2015’s supplementary announcement (see below), which includes heavy metal veterans Manowar, of whom Maddah recently said, “They’ll be here sooner than later. If it doesn’t work out for 15 I’ll go harder for 16.”
Yesterday, several bands were initially announced by multiple outlets as being part of the lineup despite being absent from any official Soundwave artwork, including Falling In Reverse. “They didn’t get us their paperwork in time and we had to pull them off announcement last minute,” said Maddah.
Last year’s massive supplementary announcement saw the addition of eventual metal stage headliners Mastodon, Floridian heroes A Day To Remember, and beloved Finnish hard rockers HIM, as well as Suicide Silence, Defiler, and Zebrahead to the Soundwave 2014 lineup.
