More Acts Added To Meredith Music Festival 2014 Lineup

The organisers of Meredith Music Festival have announced their final lineup for the 2014 instalment of the beloved Victorian music event. Joining an already packed roster of local and international talent are Jagwar Ma, Jen Cloher, The Harpoons, Sun God Replica, Krakatau, Silence Wedge, and more.

Organisers have long been trying to bring the future-retro grooves of Jagwar Ma to the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre and punters will now be able to experience their indie dance stylings alongside the heartfelt words and melodies of Melbourne singer-songwriter Jen Cloher and her formidable band.

Meanwhile, The Harpoons will be doing their thing, marrying the soul and power of old-school R&B with the inescapable groove, funk, and daring sonic textures of the genre’s modern flavour. Melbourne’s own Sun God Replica will be there to give everyone a reason to mosh with their non-stop power riffage.

The ever-important Interstitial Soundtrack will be provided by Karen Leng, this year’s special guest host Fee B2, Etta and Tilly, Bennis, DJ People, and Breaking & Entering. And of course, Master Song will be back with his Tai Chi Masterclass and The Meredith Gift will be run and won on the Sunday.

Tickets for Meredith 2014 are now completely sold out and organisers have urged those still seeking tickets to be aware of scammers and scalpers – read Aunty Meredith’s official caution here. If you missed out this year, your next opportunity to experience the glory and delight that is the Supernatural Amphitheatre will be when Golden Plains rolls around, details for which are expected “in a month or so.”

Last year’s lauded capacity restrictions, which were reduced by 500 people, will still be carried over into Meredith 24, as well as the festival’s famous No Dickhead Policy, which was recently updated to feature an amended banned items list, which includes feathered “Native American” headdresses.

For those looking for some one-on-one time with their favourite Meredith 2014 acts, sideshow announcements began back in July, with tickets now on sale for shows from critically acclaimed indie darlings The War On Drugs, stoner doom legends Sleep, singer-songwriter Ty Segall, and more.
