Watch Foo Fighters Perform In An Abandoned Train Tunnel

Foo Fighters played the second of three low-key UK club gigs on Thursday night at the House of Vans, a London performance space formerly known as The Old Vic Tunnels, comprised of almost 30,000 square feet of unused railway tunnels. The rock and roll giants played the show before a crowd of 850 lucky fans.

The band once again performed as their collective alter ego, The Holy Shits, playing through a lengthy setlist that featured many lesser-known cuts from the Foos’ extensive catalogue. According to Gigwise, the 21-song setlist featured the first performance of first album cut Weenie Beenie since 2009.

“We use gigs like this, with small, captive audiences, to play all the shit people don’t like,” frontman Dave Grohl told the small crowd after the first batch of songs (via Time Out), before launching into a rendition of See You from the band’s 1997 album, The Colour and the Shape. Readers can view the setlist below.

According to Time Out, Grohl told the crowd that he’s not sure when the band will return to the UK, but said “it won’t be in a place like this”. According to reports from the band’s first secret club show in Brighton earlier this week, Grohl teased the crowd with talk of playing “[a] week at Wembley Stadium”.

As Music Feeds reported yesterday, the band’s intimate Brighton show at Concorde 2 saw the band transforming hits like Learn To Fly from their traditional rock form into thrash metal, as well as filling out single The Pretender with a jazzy guitar solo from Pat Smear. “We’ll try to play every song a little bit different then we usually would, just to make it interesting for you,” Grohl told the Brighton crowd.
