Sydney’s The Preatures are on the cusp of releasing their highly-anticipated debut album Blue Planet Eyes and in celebration they’ve announced their biggest national tour to date, set to kick off this November.
The Preature’s national Blue Planet Eyes tour will start in Canberra on Thursday, 13th November, before moving on to Adelaide, Geelong, Hobart, Melbourne, Brisbane, Maroochydor, Sydney and Perth.
Blue Planet Eyes is due out on Friday, 26th September and will get a spin as triple j‘s feature album in the lead up next week. Immediately after the album’s release the band will head back to the US in October with a headline tour and performances at the famed Austin City Limits and Life Is Beautiful festival in Las Vegas.
Upon their return, they will add supporting slots none other than the The Rolling Stones to their impressive touring resume, with shows at Victoria’s Hanging Rock and New South Wales’ Hope Estate (NSW), before kicking off their national solo tour.
Recorded in Austin, Texas, with Jim Eno of Spoon, the album features such songs as the recently unveiled Somebody’s Talking, plus Two Tone Melody, Better Than It Ever Could Be and of course, their indie smash Is This How You Feel?.
Special guests Holy Holy will join The Preatures as main support, and a selection of local talent will open each show. See the tour dates below.
