Yellowcard Touring Australia With Mayday Parade In July 2015

American pop-punk outfit Yellowcard have announced a five-date Australian tour for July 2015. What’s more, the band will be bringing fellow Florida-rockers Mayday Parade along for the ride!

Yellowcard last toured Australia in October 2013, celebrating the 10th anniversary of their 2003 album Ocean Avenue, which got fans all nostalgic with some rather intimate acoustic performances.

The band, who formed in 1997, teased the possibility of a massive Australian tour back in August, frontman Ryan Key telling Music Feeds Australia would be “pretty mind-blown by what we’re gonna do in Australia this time around”.

Yellowcard’s seventh studio album, Lift A Sail, is set for release on 10th October. Frontman Ryan Key has admitted that the album was challenging to create, but is “still a massive rock record”. Inspired largely by events in the band’s personal lives, Lift A Sail will see Yellowcard growing larger and louder.

Mayday Parade are confirmed as a support act on all of Yellowcard’s forthcoming Australian tour dates. The band, who released their fourth studio album Monsters In The Closet last year, are well-suited to tour with Yellowcard, and will no doubt add even more energy to the shows next year.

Also supporting Yellowcard’s 2015 Australian tour will be Sydney band Born Lion, who have been compared to groups such as Fugazi, The Bronx and Future Of The Left. The up-and-coming act played at Brisbane’s BIGSOUND music conference in 2013 and will now also take part in Yellowcard’s 2015 pop-punk extravaganza of a tour.

Yellowcard’s 2015 Australian tour begins in Perth on Saturday, 4th July 2015, and wraps up in Melbourne on Saturday, 11th July. Full tour and ticket details are available below.
