Roger Waters Wants You To Know He’s Still Not In Pink Floyd

In case you got it in your head that Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters has rejoined the band, with all that is currently happening in the Floyd camp, the veteran musician wants you to know he still remains contently apart from his former bandmates.

Posting Facebook, Waters makes it crystal clear that he had zero, zip, zilch to do with Pink Floyd’s upcoming LP, Endless River, so it’s time for fans to stop harassing his wife, Laurie.

“Some people have been asking Laurie, my wife, about a new album I have coming out in November. Errhh? I don’t have an album coming out, they are probably confused,” attests Waters. “David Gilmour and Nick Mason have an album coming out. It’s called Endless River.”

Waters continues by highlighting the fact that, “David and Nick constitute the group Pink Floyd. I on the other hand, am not part of Pink Floyd”. For anyone up in arms wondering when did this happen? Waters has got you covered, “I left Pink Floyd in 1985, that’s 29 years ago.”

In case you’re still not getting it, Waters dips into a bit of recent history. “I had nothing to do with either of the Pink Floyd studio albums, Momentary Lapse of Reason and The Division Bell, nor the Pink Floyd tours of 1987 and 1994, and I have nothing to do with Endless River. Phew!”

“This is not rocket science people, get a grip.” Get it? Got it. Good.

Endless River, the first album from Pink Floyd in over 20 years, is due for release Friday, 7th November. Roger Waters DOES NOT feature on the record. Did we mention Roger Waters was in Pink Floyd but is no longer in Pink Floyd?
