Mountain Sounds Festival Will Return In 2015

The organisers of Mountain Sounds Festival have announced that the boutique music event will make its return in 2015, following a successful launch on NSW’s Central Coast earlier this year. Mountain Sounds is now set to return to the scenic Mount Penang Parklands on Saturday, 21st February 2015.

The full lineup for the event’s sophomore instalment will arrive later this month on Thursday, 23rd October, the same date that tickets will go on sale. Entry to Mountain Sounds 2015 starts at a very reasonable $79 + booking fee and if this year was anything to go by, next year’s lineup will be mega.

Among the names gracing stages this year were Cosmo’s Midnight, Jinja Safari, Snakadaktal, Emma Louise, Ball Park Music, Softwar, Sticky Fingers, Yacht Club DJs, Yolanda Be Cool, and Midnight Juggernauts, with a rich cultural lineup that featured everything from live artwork, to cultural dancing.

Organisers promise that this year’s lineup will be just as stacked, with “some of the most diverse and hyped acts in the country” already confirmed to play. There will also be a state-wide competition for one live band and one electronic act to open the festival, with more details expected to be announced soon.

Situated halfway between Sydney and Newcastle in Mount Penang Parklands, punters will be partying it up in the surrounds of the picturesque Central Coast, with the option of staying overnight on both the Friday and Saturday nights. The campsites will be a festival unto themselves, featuring parties, silent discos, and more.
