Just a week after experimental LA musician Ariel Pink was announced as the first act confirmed for Sugar Mountain Festival 2015, organisers today have revealed that electro heroes Midnight Juggernauts will also be joining the lineup.
In a Sugar Mountain exclusive, the Juggernauts told Time Out Melbourne, via Faster Louder, that they will be performing a brand new audiovisual show for the event, titled MJX Pty Ltd. “All of us will be there performing for the show, but we’re going to have a bit of a twist to it. There’s more of a bizarre concept behind it. We wanted to explore and incorporate something unusual for this show,” frontman Vincent Vendetta told Time Out.
After taking a year off in 2014, Melbourne-based music and arts festival Sugar Mountain confirmed in July that it would return in 2015 and will occupy the date typically reserved for the Big Day Out weekend in Melbourne.
Last week, Ariel Pink was announced as the event’s first confirmed act for 2015. He will be joined on stage by his seven-piece band. The boutique festival also announced it will be moving to a new venue in 2015.
That new venue and the full Sugar Mountain 2015 line-up will be announced on the breakfast show on Melbourne’s Triple R tomorrow, Tuesday 14th October from 8.30am.
