American alt rockers and upcoming Soundwave visitors Fall Out Boy have released the full length version of new single Immortals, alongside its accompanying music video, and we can tell you right now – this is probably the poppiest thing FOB have ever done.
The song itself was teased earlier this month in a new trailer for the upcoming Disney/Marvel film Big Hero 6, the soundtrack to which features Immortals. The video sees the band select their own song on a jukebox and pay for the privilege to listen back to themselves. Somewhat pompous, we suppose, but they probably didn’t write the script, hey?
The white vinyl featured throughout the music video is cut to resemble a character from the film, Baymax, and if that’s what you’re interested in then great, because that’s pretty much the entire thing. Immortals is not expected to appear on the band’s upcoming, currently untitled, sixth studio album.
Immortals (End Credit Version) is currently available on Limited edition 7″ Baymax vinyl, as shown in the music video, and for purchase on iTunes.
