Sydney Festival has announced its full program for 2015, and, being the musically inclined folks that we are, we looked immediately to which acts will be rocking across the city from January next year.

This morning triple j announced their Beat The Drum: Celebrating 40 Years of triple j concert. Taking place on Friday, 16th January, the special gig will see acts like Hilltop Hoods, The Presets, and Vance Joy hit Sydney, along with special guests like Courtney Barnett and Owl Eyes.

Across two nights the music of the Nigerian synth pioneer William Onyeabor will be recreated. Beginning on Friday, 16th January and concluding the next evening, artists such as Gotye, Luke Jenner (The Rapture), Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip), Pat Mahoney (LCD Soundsystem), Sinkane and others will come together for Atomic Bomb! The Music Of William Onyeabor.

Melbourne duo Client Liaison will also be bringing the tunes on Friday, 16th January, at the The Famous Spiegeltent. The buzzed-about act were tapped by Flight Facilities to support their Australian tour and Music Feeds recently caught up bandmates Harvey Miller and Monte Morgan at BIGSOUND 2014.

Sonic Youth co-founder Kim Gordon will team with guitarist Bill Nace for their experimental project Body/Head. The duo will play The Aurora on Thursday, 22nd January. That same night Big Scary frontman Tom Iansek will make his live debut under his new project’s moniker #1 Dads. As #1 Dads, Iansek will play The Famous Spiegeltent helped by guest vocalists Ainslie Wills and Tom Snowdon (Lowlakes).
