Quality Aussie rockers The Rubens and The Panics will be splitting the bill at Hotel Rottnest this December, for the first in a series of summer gigs under the banner of Rotto Live.
Last we heard from The Rubens, frontman Sam Margin paired with Heidi Lenffer (Cloud Control) to cover the Arctic Monkeys’ I Wanna Know? for SBS music show RocKwiz. Currently The Rubens are bunkered down in New York, working on the follow-up to their self-titled 2012 debut, so let’s hope to hear some new material.
A mainstay in the WA music scene, The Panics have been producing quality tunes for over a decade.. Their last LP, Rain On The Humming Wire, followed on from the well-received 2007 album Cruel Guards. Single Don’t Fight It found its way onto that year’s triple Hottest 100, coming in at #10.
