Midnight Juggernauts Release Charity EP, Share Google Maps-Inspired Video

Melbourne indie-electronic outfit Midnight Juggernauts will celebrate their 10 year anniversary this year, and to mark the occasion they’ve announced a new EP release for charity and have premiered a video for their track Freefalling as an homage to classic Google Maps graphics.

After separating for some time to work on various projects, Midnight Juggernauts have banded back together with the intention of recording a series of EPs, the first of which, Aerials, the band have decided to release on their own label Siberia Records, with all proceeds going towards the Aboriginal Benefits Foundation.

Fans can download the EP immediately via Bandcamp, in return for a donated amount of their choice to the Aboriginal Benefits Foundation, earmarked specifically for Healthcare. Find out more bout the foundation here.

To give you a taste of the EP, the band have released the video for its first single Freefalling. The video’s eccentric visuals are a nod to the band’s existence as cartographic enthusiasts as well as an ode to Google Earth, the Midnight Juggernauts’ long-standing favourite computer program.

See the band take on a final song and dance through some of their favourite sites across the virtual globe, including Sydney Opera House, The Great Wall Of China, Taj Mahal, The Hollywood Sign and The Great Sphinx, as they farewell the program’s classic graphics.

Midnight Juggernauts will perform a special 10th anniversary show for Melbourne Music Week on Saturday 22nd November at Queen Victoria Markets and will also appear at Sugar Mountain Festival in 2015.

Aerials, the new EP from Midnight Juggernauts is out now.
