The already bulging lineup for Falls Festival 2014/2015 has grown once again with organisers announcing today that Menangle rockers The Rubens and Australian bluesman C.W. Stoneking will both be making their way to Tasmania for the Marion Bay leg of the festival.
According to organisers, the Marion Bay lineup expansion is in celebration of Falls Festival’s recent win at the Tasmanian Tourism Awards in the Major Festivals and Events category. The Rubens and C.W. Stoneking will play the Tasmanian leg of the festival exclusively.
The Falls lineup has gone through some upheavals as of late, with the recent announcement that neither Robyn nor Royksopp will be making an appearance at the festival. Their spot was soon taken up by two new acts, Empire Of The Sun and La Roux.
Falls also recently filled out its lineup with acts who took top spots in either triple j’s Unearthed or the festival’s own “Foster A Band” competitions. Other acts to join the Marion Bay bill include Tasmanian psych-rockers Violet Swells and punk rockers Luca Brasi.
The full and updated Falls Festival 2014/2015 lineup is available below, alongside ticket and festival details. Tickets to the Marion Bay leg of the event are still available while the other legs of the festival in Lorne and Byron Bay have sold out.
UPDATE 01/12/14: The Byron Bay leg of Falls Festival 2014/2015 has seen a capacity increase, with up to 2,500 extra to be released tomorrow, 2nd December. Three new acts have also been added to the lineup. Updated full lineup and ticket details are available below.
