Melbourne sure does love a hometown hero. Just yesterday Chet Faker announced a new show on his 2015 tour at the Palais Theatre, and it’s sold out already. Thankfully, Mr Faker is the giving sort, adding a third Palais Theatre show on Wednesday, 25th February.
It only makes sense Chet Faker would receive such a warm welcome home after a year of tearing it up aboard, including playing before an arena of thousands of people in Istanbul and selling-out iconic New York venue Webster Hall.
In what little spare time he’s had, the man known to his mum as Nick Murphy has probably been building a bigger shelf for all the awards piling up behind stellar debut album Built On Glass. Going on the shelf is the 2014 J Award for Australian Album of the Year, along with a Victoria Music Award and three ARIAs, plus potentially six more.
Chet Faker will be supported on tour by Roland Tings and GL. Tickets for the third Melbourne show on sale from 2pm (AEDT) Monday, 24th November. All other dates are on sale now. Full tour details below.
