Disappointed Rolling Stones Fans Offered "Small Gesture"

Rolling Stones fans who never got to see the band’s 14 On Fire Tour come to Victoria’s Hanging Rock have received a special offer. The disappointed fans, who endured not only the postponement of the Stones’ tour but the cancellation of their concert due to Mick Jagger’s throat infection, have now been offered discounted Rod Stewart tickets by promoter Frontier Touring.

According to FasterLouder, Frontier Touring Managing Director Michael Gudinski has emailed Hanging Rock ticket holders to announce the offer, which will allow affected punters to purchase discounted tickets to Rod Stewart’s Hanging Rock performance in March 2015, or his forthcoming show at Hope Estate in the Hunter Valley.

“I understand that missing out on The Rolling Stones’ Hanging Rock concert has been crushing for you all and while I appreciate that nothing can really make up for it, as a small gesture, I would like to extend a special offer exclusive to these fans,” Gudinski wrote.

“Like so many of you I am totally devastated by the cancellation of The Rolling Stones’ concert at Hanging Rock for the second time… I can assure you that every attempt has been made to reschedule the concert, but unfortunately it is just not possible.”

For some Stones fans, the offer of Rod Stewart tickets will seem more like a punishment than an offer of goodwill, but others will jump at the chance to save up to $150 on Platinum seats, $86 on Gold, $67 on Silver and $66 on General Admission tickets.

Frontier Touring’s Rod Stewart discount ticket offer is only available to Rolling Stones Hanging Rock ticket holders, and will be available until 5pm AEDT Friday, 28th November. Ticket holders wishing to take up the offer should contact Frontier Touring or follow the prompts in the email they received.
