Californian rock band Counting Crows will follow their appearance at Byron Bay Bluesfest 2015 with a set of four headline shows across the country. The band’s dynamic live show will make its way through Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Sydney after the group perform at Bluesfest on 2nd April.
Counting Crows are touring the US at the moment, backed by their seventh studio album Somewhere Under Wonderland, which is their first new material since 2007. The group’s new tunes will surely take centre stage during their 2015 Australian tour, alongside older classics such as Mr. Jones and Big Yellow Taxi.
Vocalist Adam Duritz has already shared his excitement, revealing that the band’s next antipodean trip will be extra important to him.
“I would always be excited about a trip to New Zealand and Australia, but I think this time it’s a little closer to my heart because I got so sick last time and missed the New Zealand gigs,” Duritz said. “You don’t get to travel to the other side of the world every day so I hate to miss out on any part of it.”
Counting Crows last performed headline shows across Australia in 2013 around their last Bluesfest appearance. Counting Crows’ 2015 Australian tour begins in Melbourne on 4th April, and concludes in Sydney on 9th April. Full tour and ticket details are available below.
