Music Feeds LIVE: NEEDTOBREATHE Streaming This Tuesday

American rockers NEEDTOBREATHE released their fifth studio album Rivers in the Wasteland last year, and are bringing it down under this month as part of their maiden tour of Australia. But before the tour kicks off, the South Carolina four-piece are stopping by Music Feeds Studio for a live performance and a chat, as part of Music Feeds LIVE.

NEEDTOBREATHE are super keen to finally get down under; Rivers In The Wasteland is the band’s first major release in Australia. What’s more, their tour will be in support of charity organisation World Vision.

“It will be our first time in Australia and we’re really looking forward to getting down there,” says Bear Rinehart. “We have so many fans there that have emailed us saying to come down there and when we got the opportunity to not just visit, but support a great organisation like World Vision it was too good to resist.”

Having toured North America and Europe in the past, NEEDTOBREATHE are trying to strip things back a bit during their forthcoming tour, and will be doing just the same when they hit up Music Feeds Studio.

“There was so much over-the-top production on the last album and on our tour,” Bo says. “We wanted to blow it all up and start over. The idea for the record was to get as much of the production elements out of the way and then force ourselves to not rely on extra stuff and studio tricks and technology.

“We wanted to force limitations and see how far we could take the songs with just us. Probably 90 percent of the record is all live takes. It’s very much an honest record.”

To experience all of NEEDTOBREATHE’s pop-rock honesty, tune in right here from 4pm AEDT this Tuesday, 10th February, when the band perform live at Music Feeds Studio.
