Has This UK Artist Outed Herself For Splendour 2015?

UK muso Rosie Lowe looks a likely chance to be part of the still unannounced 2015 Splendour In The Grass lineup, after revealing in a recent interview that she’s coming to Australia in winter for a number of festivals.

Speaking with Project U — who say Lowe is “coming to Australia in July, probably for Splendour in the Grass and sideshows” — the singer-songwriter said she’s ready to make her way down under.

“I think that we’re coming to a few festivals, but I’m not sure which ones, because I only really look ahead at the moment, but yeah I’m pretty sure we’re coming in the summer… well, our summer, so your winter,” Lowe said.

A Splendour appearance from Lowe would make sense; she’s prepping the release of her debut album, and her Australian PR is being handled by Secret Service Publicity, who are closely associated with Splendour In The Grass.

That said, Lowe says she has other reasons to make the long trip to Australian shores.

“I’ve told my auntie, who lives in Sydney, that I’m going to be there, so I hope [I come],” she said. “I don’t want to let her down. And I’ve always wanted to come down to Australia. I’m dying for some sun actually. To be honest your winter is probably warmer than our summer anyway so I’ll bring my bikini.”

Splendour In The Grass is set to take place over three days, from Friday, 24th July to Sunday, 26th July. Some of the acts set to play Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival are a good chance of being included, as is Uptown Funk creator Mark Ronson.

A number of acts have also already been ruled out of the festival, including Kendrick Lamar, Modest Mouse, The Decemberists, Passion Pit and Sam Smith.
