Fred Durst Is Reportedly Blocking Slipknot’s Soundwave Documentary

Soundwave chief AJ Maddah has commented that the release of the much talked about Soundwave Documentary, made by Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and Shawn Crahan, is being held up by Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst.

The documentary was made at Soundwave 2012, by the Slipknot percussionist and frontman, and was supposed to be gifted to punters who purchased early tickets to Soundwave 2014. Maddah has previously said the film is “amazing” and contained “some live footage, interviews and backstage footage.”

Another year has passed without the film’s release and, according to Maddah, the onus is on Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst who is allegedly holding things up. Both Limp Bizkit and Slipknot headlined Soundwave 2012 alongside System Of A Down and Marilyn Manson.

During the 2012 festival, Limp Bizkit dedicated their entire Soundwave set to Jessica Michalik, the girl who died of asphyxiation after being crushed during the band’s set at the Big Day Out in 2001.

When asked recently if Limp Bizkit would return to Soundwave in 2016, Maddah responded with, “not if he keeps blocking the SW Doco!”
