AC/DC Revive Their Small Club Roots In New ‘Rock The Blues Away’ Video

AC/DC have unveiled the new video for their latest Rock or Bust single, Rock the Blues Away, which sees the band channelling their early days playing in small clubs and bars.

The video intersperses footage of the band playing to an audience in a small club with images of them posing for their promotional photos. The clip is the first to feature drummer Chris Slade, who returned to the band this year for their Grammy performance.

Slade, who was a part of the band’s lineup on The Razor’s Edge album tour, as well as 1993 single Big Gun, will join AC/DC on their upcoming tour dates, replacing Phil Rudd who is who was arrested last November and charged with drug possession and threatening to kill.

Drummer Bob Richards had been in the band’s other two videos. David Mallet, a longtime AC/DC collaborator, directed this new clip which, thankfully, does not utilise any green screen technology.

AC/DC are set to headline the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival this April before they head out on a European and North American tour in support of Rock Or Bust.
