Watch The Trailer For Authorised Doco ‘Kurt Cobain: Montage Of Heck’

The trailer for the authorised Kurt Cobain documentary Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck has dropped ahead of its airing on HBO in the US on 4th May.

The short sneak peek into the documentary shows both Cobain’s wife Courtney Love and Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic interviewed. It also reveals some of the animation set to be integrated into the doco, as well as home-movies and performance videos.

The documentary, which premiered at Sundance Film Festival in Salt Lake City on 24th January, is also set to feature previously unheard music from Cobain. One track is described as “a mind blowing 12 minute acoustic Cobain unheard track”.

According to director Brett Morgan, Dave Grohl was interviewed for the film but he will not appear as there was not enough time to edit his segment before Sundance.

Cobain’s daughter Frances Bean Cobain is an executive producer of the film while Courtney Love was given complete editorial control.

There’s no word on if or when the documentary will make its way to Australia. Stay tuned here for more info.
