Are Black Sabbath Gearing Up For Their Last-Ever Australian Tour?

There’s a chance Black Sabbath may play their last ever show on Australian soil in 2015, with the recent announcement of the band’s final show in Japan this November as part of the band’s Ozzfest lineup.

In a new promo for the Japanese, frontman Ozzy Osbourne’s wife, Sharon, makes the historic announcement about the veteran act’s final ever show. “Ozzfest will be back in Japan on November 21st and 22nd and this will be Black Sabbath’s farewell,” the first lady of metal explains. “We’re also announcing Korn, who are celebrating their 20th anniversary. Now you can’t miss that.”

It’s likely Korn would headline the opening night of the festival, with Sabbath, the architects of heavy metal music, closing things out on the Sunday. Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, recently confirmed that the heavy metal legends would be recording a final album, the follow-up to last year’s acclaimed 13, and embarking on a final world tour in 2015.

The original War Pigs last performed Down Under two years ago, for the first time since 1974, as part of their historic reunion tour. But all hope of them returning one last time before they disappear into the void is not lost, yet.

There’s plenty of time between now and Ozzfest in November to shove in some Aussie tour dates and, let’s face it, Japan isn’t all that far away from us. Why not stop by while you’re in the region, Ozzy? While the band haven’t confirmed an Australian tour, we’re sure Aussie Sabbath fans have nothing to be paranoid about.
