Fans of British singer and producer FKA twigs rejoice, today the singer has unveiled both a brand new song and video, titled Glass & Patron.
Glass & Patron was written and produced by FKA twigs and producer-songwriter Boots. Twigs also self-directed and choreographed the new dramatic and compelling video for the song, as part of the 2015 YouTube Music Awards.
The clip begins with FKA twigs alone in a cabin in the woods, giving birth to a colourful sheer fabric that transforms into a troupe of dancers who, according to a statement, engage in “the most epic vogue battle of all time”.
Glass & Patron is the first piece of music to be revealed from a brand new FKA twigs EP that will be released later in the year, and will be FKA twigs’ first new release since her acclaimed debut album LP1 in 2014.
FKA twigs’ forthcoming EP, presumably to be titled EP3 following 2012’s EP1 and 2013’s EP2, will be released in Australia later this year via Young Turks.
