Yesterday, footage of Madonna locking lips with attempting to suck the very soul out of Drake, mouth-first, live onstage at Coachella surfaced on the internet and good times ensued. The rapper’s seemingly horrified reaction to the mid-song frenching has delighted enthusiastic social media users and avid meme-engineers the world over.
However, it’s now come out that Madge going full Dementor on Drake may not have been the thing that caused him to recoil in visible disgust following the involuntary trip to first base. The rapper’s “sources” have since revealed to TMZ that Drizzy’s panic-stricken dry-retching was rather a reaction to the foul taste of Madonna’s lipstick, as opposed to the smooch itself.
“Sources close to Drake tell TMZ … he loved the kiss,” the internet gossip rag reports. “As for whether the kiss was prearranged, Drake says it wasn’t … the plan was for Madonna to dance around him while he sat in the chair.”
Meantime, Drake himself has taken to social media to offer a short commentary on the browser-crashing game of tonsil hockey, describing it as a “moment to write home about”, alongside a crying-with-happiness emoji and a heavenly prayer emoji.
