Northlane Will Release Their New Album This July

Sydney metalcore outfit Northlane have revealed they have finished recording their new album, their first with new vocalist Marcus Bridge, and will be releasing it sometime this July.

Speaking with triple j this morning, Northlane guitarist Josh Smith and bassist Alex Milovic said the band are proud of what they’ve achieved on the 11-track record and confirmed it’ll be coming our way this winter.

“It’s definitely got the ‘Northlane sound’ to it, but being the third album and being such a big change with the vocalist – there might be some new flavour to it. All the fans that have been hanging out patiently since the release of Singularity will be digging what we’re doing,” explained Milovic.

Bridge joined Northlane late last year after an open audition process following the departure of former vocalist Adrian Fitiplades. Fans were introduced to the new Northlane frontman by way of the band’s single Rot, released back in November.

Josh Smith told triple j that Bridge has “transformed into an absolute machine” and has “changed the game” for Northlane. They’ve even recorded a new version of Rot for the forthcoming album, which has yet to be titled.

First though, Northlane will be travelling around regional Australia as part of the line-up for Groovin The Moo, which kicks off next weekend. They’ve also put their hands up for Soundwave 2016, and it looks like Maddah wants them on board.
