Watch This Brave Soul Cover A Parkway Drive Crusher On ‘Britain’s Got Talent’

TV talent shows have a precarious relationship with heavy metal. Despite the undeniable talents of many of the genre’s adherents, something about their musical skills just doesn’t quite seem to translate across to the shiny studio lights, politely seated crowd and heavily botoxed judging panel of the prime-time TV stage.

Here to prove that fact is Sean Ellis, who recently decided to showcase his vocal chops on Britain’s Got Talent with a spirited rendition of the Parkway Drive crusher, Dark Days.

Needless to say the lad’s superb Winston McCall impersonation did little to impress the judges, with singer Alesha Dixon recoiling in notable horror and career wanker Simon Cowell, chuckling in disbelief.

“My ears are bleeding,” quipped fellow judge, Amanda Holden, after Ellis’s performance was terminated by the dream-dashing fourth X.

There were also some pretty hilarious crowd reactions during the lad’s audition, which you can check out in the footage below. Some people just can’t hack it.

Meanwhile, the Byron Bay metalcore heroes themselves Parkway Drive are gearing up to grace one of the world’s biggest stages at the international Download Festival, this June.
