Hunters & Collectors Legend Mark Seymour Announces East Coast Theatre Tour With The Undertow

One of Australia’s most legendary musicians, Hunters & Collectors frontman Mark Seymour, is gearing up to release a new album with his band The Undertow, called Mayday. And to celebrate, he’s hitting the road for an East Coast theatre tour.

Seymour and his merry men will perform three dates across Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne this August, promising a monster set featuring songs from the new album, together with hits from across his 30+ year career. And Seymour has been responsible for a truly outrageous number of hits, including such drunk Aussie singalong favourites as Holy Grail, Throw Your Arms Around Me, When The River Runs Dry, Do You See What I See and many more.

Mayday is Seymour’s first release since H&C’s much fist-pumped reformation in 2013, which saw the band deliver a chart-topping tribute album, Crucible, perform at the AFL Grand Final, support icons Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band and The Rolling Stones, and sell out their own tour in 2014.

His new backing band, The Undertow, features Cameron “Mayhem” McKenzie on guitars, John Favaro on bass and Peter Maslen on drums, with Seymour giving some background info on each of the fellas, including their football club preference, in an official Facebook post (below).

Mark Seymour will release Mayday, his ninth studio album, on Friday 29th May. Tickets to his theatre tour with The Undertow go on sale to the general public from 10am, the same day.
