The first artist lineup for the Sunshine Coast’s 2015 Caloundra Music Festival has arrived, as it’s led by the likes of Angus & Julia Stone (pictured), Xavier Rudd & The United Nations, indie-pop outfit San Cisco, hip hop group Thundamentals, Josh Pyke and Blue King Brown.
The ninth annual Caloundra Music Festival will also feature sets from super-beardy Aussie boys The Beards, Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Melbourne singer-songwriter Meg Mac and Midnight Oil dub covers band Diesel n’Dub. It’s a lineup which will work well with the festival’s “sun, surf and soul” motto, and it’s only the event’s first official artist announcement.
The 2014 iteration of Caloundra Music Festival saw performances from the likes of John Butler, Megan Washington, Pete Murray and Tina Arena.
This year’s event will be held over the first weekend in October, 2015, and will once again take place at Kings Beach Park. The festival is a not-for-profit event, and is family-friendly.
